I just put a little blue thread-loc on my flywheel and pressure plate bolts.

This is what it said to do I didn't apply sealent on the bolts do you think its going to be okay?

"Thoroughly clean the flywheel bolts. Coat the first 3 or 4 threads of each bolt with sealant. Install the flywheel, aligning the previously made marks. Install the bolts finger-tight."

My Haynes manual says to apply red thread locker to the flywheel bolts, it isn't to stop leaks, it is to insure that they do not loosen because, disregarding the fact that your clutch would fail, doing that job twice would suck!

Those bolts don't go through anywhere. They are a part of the crank. Nothing will leak. Thread lock is what you want. I never use it there though. Never had a problem.

I installed a remanufactured 3.0 engine in my '92 , and in the instructions said to apply sealant (I believe) to the flywheel bolt holes or they will leak. Because for some odd reason they drilled through the crank.... I guess.

My dad and I can't figure out how it will leak there but o well. Sure enough I checked to see if it was leaking and of course it was, very slow though. Guess I'm pulling the trans and adding sealant.
