Engine replacement question

Hey, I have a 95 4runner that has some rod damage and crankshaft damage, and im lookin to replace it. It currently has the 3vze engine, im wondering if this is the same thing, and if its completely bolt on compatible?

Something is not right with that ad. The 4runner came with a 3VZE which is a single overhead cam NOT a DOHC. The 3VZFE that goes into Camrys was a DOHC. 3VZ is not enough decription, is it a 3VZE or a 3VZFE?

Are you capable of doing a 3.4 swap?

You'll like it. All the cool kids are doing it.

I think its possible. the 3.4 is coded as a 5vzfe correct?

and what kinda transmission would be best to pair it with?

Correct 5VZFE, what tranny depends on if you have an auto or manual.

Oh, that's easier then. You can use your same 3.0 tranny, but I'll defer to someone else, I don't know much about manual trannies. Here are some good places to start researching:

the picture looks like its the 3vze 3.no for the love of god and all that is holy don't use it. Go with the 3.4 its a almost completely bolt in except for the exhuast and wiring. You get and increase in power and in increase in gas mileage. i found my complete swap from a wrecking yard for 1500 bucks..

The 5VZFE bolts right up to the manual. You use the 3.4 flywheel, clutch, and pilot bearing and the 3.0 throwout bearing.
