haha i'll have to do that jerry. She was really suprized as to how much "intel" i was able to gather in such a short amount of time. As much as i'd love to say, "I'm russian baby but don't worry, I won't rush with you." I'd really like her to take the case seriously. So I'll hold off for now.

I've never had anything stolen before...vandalism yes, but something as expensive as a winch I would destroy someone over.

are the sticks held together with mud and dung? Also at this point... it may be easier to tear out the block. But then again.. you're not goin through the bottom end so not a big deal. Looks good man.

I've had the thought / topic of pulling the block a million times and a million times I wish I did it....but....if it's a mistake not doing it, it's my mistake....if i get away with one, Yay me.

But no, all is going well, not as fast as many would like , myself included, but learning and learning along the way.

I think it's all going to make tearing into my son's 3vze much easier, though they are different animals, but at least I will have some technical savvy under my cap by then.

"swimmingly" you say.....Ok, I'll thank you for your FANCY word.

for a thread that sat idle for weeks and weeks, I'm finally into it again.

Others who have done this repair are millions of times faster than me, but i want to understand every nut and bolt and all that....and i think I am understanding all that now.

yes, it's going well...after I overcame the "2nd TEST" of removing the oil pan (1st being the crankshaft bolt", I felt I crested the hill and am on the way down now.

and yes, I'm going to "pretty" up all the parts I can along the way...I know it won't run better but it will look sweet.

toy, i am kindda jeoulas of you because your engine is going to look great with all the paint parts...however, let me tell you that the 3vze engine is a different story, it is a little harder. but I know you can do it.

I've said this before and others have as well...I give you tons of credit!!! Most folks, well say over 30 or so, who don't know this stuff will not take the time to learn. I grew up with fixin my own and dear ol dad taught me a ton.

Biggest thing is "don't be skered" and you have passed that. Your getting a lot deeper into this than I did on mine and I'm seeing the mistakes I made by how you are doing yours. Now someday when I redo mine I'll do it sooooo much more better.

You are doing great! I have pulled a few engines apart in my day & we seem to be running about the same pace. Love the red timing cover.....Makes me think I should have thrown some more color at mine instead of just black & clear. What color is your truck?
