4Runner rear window motor.

I need to replace the tail gate window motor on my 86 4Runner, and from what ive read here the window motors in the doors are the same, but will a window door motor from a second gen 4Runner (90-95) work to replace the motor for my rear window ?.

Yes they are the same. Just make sure you get the drivers side.

So it has to be the driver side motor only ?, the passenger side window motor won`t work ?.

When I replaced mine on my 2nd gen I got it from a drivers door on a Camery. All the research said driver side passenger.

The motor has to be orientated like this...

Ok, so i can use a window motor from a 4Runner or camery, from the driver side of either vehicle, and it can be from the drivers door or passenger door. Im going to try and find one from a rear door because it will have alot less use than the drivers window.
