3vze sluggish and motor lug until you put gas in it.

Hope all is well, trying to get some help on an issue im having. I have a 94 pickup 3.0 4x4 and I have this issue where the truck is sluggish, and will lug from time to time. If you stop and put gas in it (any about from $5 to a full tank) the truck will run like a stallion compared to how it normally runs. When I put gas in it and get home and let it sit 10 minutes and drive it again it's back sluggish and lugging. I have replaced fuel cap, spark plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap and the inline fuel filter under the truck. All with no change. My next step was going to be to check fuel pressure. Any recommendations?

Any check engine codes? Even if the light isnt on, there could be codes stored.

I haven't checked for codes, never had a check engine light and didn't know it would store codes without one.

I was thinking the same with the dirt or clogged fuel sock. I'm going to check fuel pressure hopefully tomorrow and will let yall know what I come up with.

You can check fuel pressure regulator, injectors, and fuel pump for issues.

Sorry for the late reply but I've just got around to being able to check my fuel pressure. I tested on the driver side under the fuel regulator by removing the M8 banjo bolt and installing a fuel pressure tester. It read between 40 and 42 psi. When the motor would stumble once or twice it would jump to 42 psi then settle around 40psi. I then turned it off and tested at the back of the fuel rail with the same result. I started testing when the truck was cold then let it warm up at an idle.
