okay, so i think im going to get 33x12.5 on 15s with no lift. what kinda of backspacing/offset on the rim should i get to push them out enough to reduce rubbing?

so i was reading this page and something caught my eye. i dont like body lifts either and one option that u guys have if your going to do a 3.4 swap is to do fiberglass front end. i was going to do a 3.4 swap this summer(couldnt get enough money quick enough and need my truck back so just rebuilt it) and didnt want to do a BL. im going to do a total chaos kit soon so fiberglass would of worked out perfectly. but the ivan stewart package(hood, fenders and cowl) sit 2 inches higher. so long story short you can buy that package for 650 shipped to your door and not run a BL with the 3.4 swap. just fyi. not many people now this and if its to your liking to fiberglass your tuck and your against Bl then it works.

Need new tires badly so I was hoping to be able to fit some 33x10.5 BFG AT/KO's on my Hilux Surf now with the suspension factory stock and then worry about a lift in the spring/summer when it isn't so damn cold. But when I whip out a tape measure I can't see how a 33" will fit up front with no rub on the fenders even for street driving. The Australian Hilux Surf forum goes on and on about NEEDING a lift to fit 33's. I'm thinking the SSR-G widebody flares must be taking up some of the wheel well real estate leaving less room to stuff a tire.

Any other Hilux Surf SSR-G (or SSR-X) owners with the widebody flares have any luck fitting a 33x10.5's with NO lift and NO torsion bar cranking or anything else?

Ah maybe I'll give in and buy some winter tires now and then go for the 33's in the summer after a lift just to be safe.

hopefully fitting some 33x12.5 on my SSR-X, but not for a month or two...i think they should fit without a lift, but you might need to do some surgery with a large hammer on the fender wall...also, if you articulate too much, its probably gonna rub bad....but as long as your only on concrete should be fine

So... nowhere in the thread does anyone throw 32/11.50's on a non-lifted runner. If a 33/12.50 fits with no lift and SOME rubbing, is it safe to assume that a 32/11.50 will fit with VERY MINOR rubbing? Or none, with proper backspacing?

I love the way your Runner looks. I think it sits beautifully and perfectly. If you don't mind, could you pm me with all your suspension details. What you bought, where you bought and any modifications you had to do. Thanks

thanks not much done though. it has 16's on it which i think makes a big difference looks wise. other than that some 2in coil spring spacers in the rear from toytec and a bit of crankin of the tbars will do it. 265/70/16 tires with 16x8 with 4.75 bs

I put a ToyTech 3" suspension/leveling kit on my 2000 4runner, second generation (also one on a Tundra) and it works great. actually suggested using emu shocks up front but isnt completely necesary.

i had gotten some land cruiser coils for my 95 4runner and i was wondering what size shocks should i get? ive been looking for 6" shocks but cant find any...all i can find are 5" shocks...will those work?

also i came across a good deal for some tires...but there 33x12.50-16....sooo i would have t get a nes det a rims, was planning on that anyways...and of course i would have to get some 16's, but what backspacing should i get?..again this if for a 95 4runner

    thanks

I ran my cruiser coils with 4" lift shocks. Worked out well because I netted 3.5-4" of lift from the coils...

    Lift on lift

Ok guys I have read the hole thread and I saw one guy ask this but no one answered him.

I have a 92 sr5 4runner with a auto and I want to do a 4" full susmention lift and then use 1.5 BJ spacers to get 5.5" to 6" of lift? Because if I don't have to do a BL I would like not to.

Also this there anyone out there that has a auto with that lift and do you have pictures?
