Now THAT'S what I like to see/hear! No problem, Rocker! It's always TOTALLY rewarding to have some helpful info, of course.... or maybe help diagnose, .... but the REAL REWARD is seeing someone enjoy it, and, well, HECK,......EVEN TAKE IT OFF CL!?!?!?!?!?!? hahaha.

You're a lucky one, actually.... i chased my tail for-EVERRRRRRRR, and I, like MANY before me, tried that EGR trick(anddddddddd 20 others, including BVSV and pumping vacuum in and testing/cleaning out the modulator,...AHHHH! lol).... only to find it WAS NOT the problem. So far, so revealing on yours! THAT'S GOOD! Personally, if you can't perform all the tests for an EGR without question, ...I would not slap a used one in. OF COURSE, if it passes all the tests.... visually, holds 10" vacuum, etc..... SLAP THAT SUCKER IN THERE AND AT LEAST TRY! lol.

Yep, the EGR will also(if it's acting like yours) cause you to FAIL EMISSIONS! GRRRR! LOL. I know, I know.... you're in OR.... I'M NOT, MAN! lol.. C.A.R.B. is CRUEL! lol.

Wow, I just read this whole thing... I am in the same boat right now and I feel for you and ChefYota. I have put a ton of time and money into my 4Runner and it is blowing smoke (blak and white). I am going through everything trying to fix the problems. I am out of time and money--I hae other things I have to get done so I just don't have time to mess with this thing. I think the most frustrating part of throwing endless time at the problem to find nothing. If I could spend a day doing something to solve the problem I would, but that's not possible--just have to work on it until I find the problem and I am worried I can't get it done before my 30day driving pass is up!

Anyway, love to hear any more updates!
