not the same as the front, the rear wiper arm is shorter. pm strapp22 on here, he may be able to get you a good price on one.

man that's a hard thing to come by cheap. last week i saw one in traffic on a 90 runner, the second gen body style that still has the slide-down-opening tailgate window, and it looked similar, but i need to measure one to see if its a direct swap, because it IS mounted on the bottom of the window, not the top like a first gen.

the important part is the little piece on the arm that allows it to "park" on the plastic piece attached to the cap. without that park function, you can't close the window without holding the arm off the glass, which i must do all the time because the p.o. put a regular style arm on it.

so if you buy something used, make sure it has that special piece on it. its made of "white metal" and breaks easy so keep an eye out. and hey, if you find a source for two, lemme know i'll take that other one. good luck

Yea I was looking for the rear arm too for my '88 4runner. Mine doesn't touch the glass when it wipes but maybe I just need a new spring If anyone knows that part #?

You can find the front two all over I thought maybe one of them was the same and thats why you can't find the rear one anywhere. Its just been too cold to measure and I'm lazy.

I mean it seems like a common part to break b/c I think my arm sensor is broken because I definately rolled up the window and destroyed a new blade I had put in thinking that was the reason it didn't work well. Now I know

Well I got my tape measure out and sure enough both the front are 15" the rear is 12" about should have listened to leebee guess thats I'm a newbie.

4runner rear window automatic

Hey has anyone heard of aftermarket kits for the rear window on a 94 4runner to make it automatic like the driver's window? I am talking Down assist, so that you dont have to hold the switch.... Anyone?
