RUF need help!

Okay so i have been looking and looking and i can not find what bushings to get to do my rears up front? im using 84 rear springs, the front spring eye is bigger then the rear eye, also 1 is pressed in with a sleeve that makes it take 14mm bolts. I have the stock spring hanger and when i put the spring in there its lose i bought some TG bushings and there close but to big. what does everyone do for there ruf bushings? pic or links where to buy them would be grate. does this make sense?

Bushing I.D. is too big for the bolt?
So.... Brass spacer between bushing and bolt?
Bushing with smaller I.D.?
Bigger bolt?

Any good spring shop can get you the bushings you need.

If you could help me that would be grate! i have built a ruf spring pack out of three 84-88 spring pack. the 84-88 springs have two different size spring eyes, the larger one is the one that needs to go in my front spring hanger but the bushing in it is pressed in and has a sleeve that is for 14mm bolts, i took out the sleeve and then could put the 18mm bolt through but now my problem is there is about a 1/8 inch gap on each side of the spring between the hanger so if i had some normal toyota bushings that have that 1/8 wall that would solve my problem but they are to small since this is the large end that was intended for the pressed in bushing what did you do about this what bushings do i need? thanks, Jaden

I think I am understanding your question, can you put some large diameter fender washers to take up that gap between spring and hanger?

Yes that could work, but I figured that there was a bushing that would make it right. If nothing else thais what I will do. Just wish I could do it right with a bushing though.

You can get the 40mm bushing with or w/o the sleeve to fit the larger spring eye. There are 30mm and 40mm ID spring eyes:

If using the stock front hanger with the funky OEM spring hanger pin,

you could also cut those off and weld on hangers set up for whatever size bolt you want:

Or you could get an '83 or earlier main leaf as they have the 30mm ID springs eyes like the stock front springs. Benefit there is you can run the stock front spring pin and the bushing lips are the full thickness.

If I got the 40mm bushings from here, would there be the 1/8inch gap on each side of the sring and the hanger walls? Thats what I get if I try using the stock 40mm pressed in bushing

The 40's tend to have thinner lips than the 30s, but no issue putting in a thin washer on each side. I've run washers on my front hangers for at least 12 years. I built the hangers extra wide in case I wanted to run wider springs, like the 2.5" wide Rancho 44044 or something similar. I just insert a 3/4" flat washer on each side of the bushing as I slide in the bolt to keep it all centered.
