Brake problems

i have an 84 Toyota 4x4 ext cab. last week my master cylinder went out. i ended up replacing my it. after replacing it i tried bleeding the brakes with a power bleeder. i started on the right rear. for some reason i am not getting fluid to the rear wheel cylinders. i get fluid to the front and up to the LSPV but not to the rear wheels. i bled the front and the LSPV with the power bleeder and by pumping quite a bit till solid fluid came out and i still am not getting any fluid to the rear wheels. i can kinda stop after i bled the front and the LSPV but i have to hit the pedal to the floor before i actually stop. if anyone knows what could be wrong i would really appreciate the help

Can you get someone to help you bleed the brakes, and operate the pedal while you crack the rear bleeders? I don't have any experience using the power bleeders my self, though I did buy one from Harbor freight last winter. Just haven't had to bleed brakes since picking it up. Could be that with the LSPV the power bleeder isn't strong enough to pull fluid through.

Did you bench bleed the new master before installing it? If you didn't bench bleed it right, it could be the cause of your problems.

Um thats you prob already.... you "HAVE" to bench bleed a master cyl or it won't do nothing worth a damn. Take it off and bleed it. You have to.

If by 'power bleeder,' he means a vacuum (like mighty vac), then bench bleeding is unnecessary.

Even with the power bleeder i wasn't able to get fluid to the rear wheels. After i bleed the master cylinder i was able to get fluid to the rear and now i have brakes again but they're not like the used to be. i would have thought that my brakes would be better with the new master cylinder. i think i might still have air in the lines. Im just going to have someone help me do the pump, hold, and release method and see if that helps
