Is the Chevy leaf spring mod for the rear of 1st gen 4Runners worth it? or should I get replacement springs with a lift (3" to 4") from a vendor?

everybody says the 63" chevy swap is definately worth it...gives around 3in. lift...and has good flex with 4runners...as long as u got some weight on the rear..(like u do)...then it should be worth it

this thread is for 1st gen trucks (79-83 PICKUPS) buttttt i'll be nice

63" chevys are a cheap and easy mod, if u have the time & welding exp. 2 do so

3"-4" replacement springs are probably the simplest being in most cases bolt-on and will maintain your stock ride quality

I love my ARB

Or my maybe my favorite is my Weber, or my Thorley Header, or my cam, or my onboard air system, or my 4.88's, or my 4.7's, or my high steer, or my 34's...

I can't pick a favorite, I just like the whole truck.

Here's my favorite mod, a 231 buick engine (this one should put out about 230hp), I put the first one in when the truck was almost new and was real happy. I've gone thru a few motors (the last broke the crank), but it's held up well for lots of miles.
