You've got an imaculate truck there. Where did you find something like that in Canada? Looks like its from the southern states. Never seen a Toyota frame that clean before. I think you should put this where the 22R is.
If my 82 had of been in that good a shape it would have definately gotten the 3.0 TD treatment. There is one for sale on www.toyotadiesel.com right now for $3300 I think. They work very well and have just as much get up and go as the 3.4. It doesn't even look like your truck came with a crack in the dash. Really clean truck.
