New '83 w/ pics

Got a few bad night pics of my '83 p/u 5speed. Waiting on a shop to replace the flywheel for me then I'll paint and protect it. Only surface rust and the engine was rebuilt 3k ago, primered right now, new clutch, starter and lots of other parts. Got it for $1500.

Pics aren't very good but once I get back from work next week I'll take a lot more good ones.

Plans are:
arbs f/r, 4.88's and 33's, on board air
mc 4" lift kit
mc tube bumpers, sliders
winch
efi swap
exhaust/headers
dual optimas

much more i can't think of right now, but i'll start with all of it as soon as I paint it and redo the interior.

Welcome to our little world of the 1st Gen Truck.
Looks like a good base. Be sure to inspect the floor of the cab.

Looks like your plans include the basics for a great trail truck. I am sure you will go dual transfer cases eventually. All it took was an organized trail run to see what some other trucks could do...

Floor is like new, the guy had the body & floor done to pass inspection and I've never seen a frame that looks as good as this one. I don't think I'll need dual xfer cases there are no rocks around here, just mud and snow.

good deal about your floor. I used to be able to see the position of my left front tire when wheeling...

Driveshaft I would take to someone to have done.
ebrake should be pretty straight forward. I have an FSM for my '81, procedure should be about the same PM me if you want the procedure and I will scan it for you...

Oh and I decided today to go with dual transfer cases, I thought it would cost a lot more than it does.

Changed my mind on the 33's gonna go with 35's, just added everything on the list up and it's over $10k canadian and I'm sure I'm missing lots... This might take a 5 or 6 months depending on whether or not I wanna live in it, keep my girlfriend and avoid massive debt.
