So I finally managed to arrange to make the 5 hour trip to recover the truck I bought last year. She runs a little warm and really doesn't like hills (starts to overheat) but other than that the trip home was uneventful. I made it all the way from La Pine, or, to Vancouver, Wa. on roughly 3/4 tank. Since it only took about 8 gallons to tank it up, I'm going to assume it's a 12 gallon tank. I haven't refilled it yet to get definite numbers, but if 3/4 tank = 9 gallons, then that means for the 200 miles I drove I was getting somewhere between 20 and 24 MPG.

Photoy goodness:

Thanks, but I like the push bar. It's pretty solid, and all it needs is a little paint to make it look good. I also plan to add a bit to it. As a welder/fabricator in a heavy manufacturing plant, I have access to some pretty beefy equipment (hydraulic pressbrakes ranging from 12 to 53 feet in length and up to 1250 tons, mechanical and hydraulic shears from 6 to 16 feet capable of cutting up to 7/8" mild steel, CNC plasma torches, etc, etc...), and material (anything from 1/8" to 2" in thickness A-36 mild to AR-400 armor plate.)

By figuring out what to do about the rear bumper I meant "design my dream bumper".

I think Marlin Crawler sells something like that..
I just found out that even in my town, there's an offroad fab shop, and they seem to have a fondness for Toyotas. I'll bet with a good photo you could have one made.
