Question Axle U-Bolts

Does anyone know where I can get some stock length axle U-bolts (front and rear)? I'm doing a stock rebuild on my '81 and the original U-bolts and nuts are in pretty rough shape. I figured, I might as well replace them with new ones, however all I'm finding are the longer U-bolts for the flip kits and suspension lift kits (which I'm guessing would hang down a little too low).

Rancho (http://gorancho.com/catalog.php) carries a large selection of u-bolts, look in the Master Catalog Supplement (Specification Chart) and match up the shape and size to what you need. No problem using a longer than stock u-bolt, they usually have extra long threads and you just cut them to length after installing them.

Or if you have a local spring/suspension shop, they should be able to bend you up a set.

Yeah I haven't checked the dealership yet, I figured they wouldn't have them being just about everything else I've checked on has been discontinued. I'll check with those guys too though.

Better to use new ones anyway. See 4Crawler's post above, or you can get Old Man Emu replacements from TRDparts4u just give them a call, no affiliation but I always get great service over there. 866-233-4305
The OldManE's are part #OMEU53 for the rear, and #OMEU52 for the front, they come with nuts/washers, about $11-12 each, you need 4 of each part #.

Still haven't gone out there. A friend of mine just got his rear driveline rebuilt, and a double-cardan put on the TCase side. I guess he knew the owners son or somethin.
