I'm getting ready to put a 22R into a truck that previously had a 20R. I don't know if there's a thread that covers the swap(yes, I've searched but I still can't find anything). I have a couple questions about it.

will the old harness work with the new engine or do I need to use the harness for the new engine?

It's late for me and I can't think of the other ?s I had so I'll post them as I remember them tomorrow.

I have a '79 with a 22r from an '82 Celica. It still has the 20r wiring harness in it. The previous owner did the swap, so I may not know all of the details, but it appears that with the exception of the head, intake and carb (all from the 22r), they put all of the 20r stuff back onto the 22r (such as distributor, coil, ignitor, alternator, etc.).
