I searched on other forums and threads. I actually have a list of seats I am willing to try in my 87 toyota pickup. Tomorrow Ill go to the junkyard and pick some up. Getting rid of the old bench style seats.

From my own experiences and what I've read around the 'web, basically anything that fits a compact car will fit these trucks. If you hang out in the compact/import cars section of the yard and find seats you really like, they should probably work.
Personally, I think Ford makes some of the best seats I've ever rested my lazy arse in and they seem to last a while, too.

I'm planning on trimming the uprights to bring them down an inch or two.
As far as installing them goes, you can bolt them into the stock crossbeam up front, but the rears have to be bolted onto a piece of plate steel that then bolts into the stock mounting nutserts, that way you're not drilling holes in the floor.
The cool thing about the ranger seats is that they have a big torx bolt on their sides that the belt buckles mount onto. It helps to locate the buckle up high to compensate for how tall the seat bases are.
Best seats I've ever owned.

Ha! That's what I ended up with, too!

$100 is pretty good, you'd be hard pressed to beat that with almost anything else.
I paid $200 for mine, but they were like showroom condition, the truck basically got wrecked right off the lot, and the dismantlers pulled them and stored them in a warehouse. Considering the seats had maybe another fifteen years left before they start to feel worn out, I thought 200 was a deal.

Oh, then a hundred bucks was a decent deal for racing seats.
That said, having had racing seats in my truck briefly, I hated them.
They went in easy enough, but they weren't comfortable at all, and their Kevlar weave material just gave me the worst sweat and chafing discomfort ever.
Not all racing buckets suck, though. Mine were just junky APC seats.
