Another Sleeping Princess Report. Lots of Pics!!!
I know, I know... but it's such a fun trail!
Around Thanksgiving, Marc P, Sonny and I had gone with another buddy about 1/3 of the way up this trail before we decided to turn around and check out some other stuff.
Well, this time, Rob G contacted me and wanted to know if running SP was a possibility as he was coming down for New Years. I was totally up for it, so I called Sonny as he's always down for putting some more scratches on his 07 FJ.
Me - Silver Tacoma
Rob G - White 4Runner
Sonny - Silver FJ
Starting out:

Rob on the first couple obstacles:
Here he comes...
Blinded by the light...
Smile, Sonny!

And away he goes...
Me getting ready to come down:

Rob coming down that same section:
Look at the passenger rear tire...
More to come, stay tuned...

Onward and upwards...

This particular section was a lot more rutted and loose than the last time I was out here. It was much more interesting. Sonny was still at street pressure and gave it a few tries but eventually aired down and nailed it.

Rob and I cruised up it... Neener neener, Sonny!
Here's Rob, appreciating his 37" MTR's...
Sonny squeezing through the "Rock Gate"

Me climbing over a frame scratcher...

Rob coming up an interesting section that required a certain amount of concentration and bravado. I really like the way these pics turned out...
Still more on the way...

Rob coming up the switchbacks:
It's a lot steeper and more exposed than it looks...
There is an area just below the summit where you can park and hike around. It's got an amazing view. Here I am playing around...

And a very cool 'Yota shot:

The Colorado River Valley from that vantage point:

The last section of trail to the summit:

The view from the very top. Amazing!!!
Toyotas...aaaahhhh....
The trail takes you down into Golden Valley, past an old ranch. Sonny took us over to it and we did a bit of exploring...
And one last 'Yota shot...

Yup, Rob and I took pretty much the same lines, he was just sweating less when we were done.
Sonny led the trail, I was behind Sonny, and Rob was behind me.

This is about 20 minutes outside of the Bullhead/Laughlin area, on Hwy 68 going towards Kingman, AZ. We're about 4 hours NW of Phoenix, and about 1.5 hours South of Vegas.

WOW! Those pictures are very beautiful. The scenery out West are always great. The desert reminds me of the desert in UAE which is perfect for expedition. I bet you guys had a blast and good time
