My 7M-GTE build

so look what I got back earlier last week .





time to get going on the build ...



rings are Altrom ... water pump is Nissan :-X ... rest is OE.









first coat of primer ...

installing ARP bolts , rings , and rod bearings


I have a short block ;D



and front cover

How you going to handle the cooling/radiator? I know that is one LONG motor...

you going to cut out the core support for clearance or move the motor back a little? looking great so far. keep up the good work.

actually its going into a 2wd .. with a full custom frame .

I'm going to move the engine back 2" and cut the fire wall , and tunnel .

so a little bit more today ..

got the pan on ... of course it came with a cork gasket that i'll never use .


and some of the accessories ..




MLS head gasket in place , and new ARP head studs .



and the head goes on , and torqued to 80FT lbs



back cover and set the valve covers on for effect .


and almost done ...




so thats it for now ... I had to order the turbo oil pipe gaskets .

did a little more today ...

got the valves adjusted , and cams in


and bolted on the covers , new thermo , cam seals ......


also started on the RC - 550's



400 Horses , here I come

so .. more .. ;D

fuel rail is buttoned up , and also center gasket


timing gears are installed "correctly" and belt installed .

also thermo housing .

exhaust manifold , and shields .


front cover


and the upper intake ..


just about done .

sweet biult....on my dream list is to learn about tearing engines down and biulding them back up so i can get a 7M-GTE and toss it in my lil yota....ahh the look on ppl's faces when i drive by them and they hear a nice "psss"
