90 4runner SAS W/37's

Here is my 90 4runner with a fresh SAS. I was having alot of trouble figuring out if I should us coils in the rear but in the end I decided to ditch em and go with chevies. I started this project the weekend before christmas and just finished it last sunday. I still need bump stops, need to route ARB lines and bumpstops.

Before........

After.........

i like the 37s, i'm running 35s and a 2inch body lift(leftover from the initial lift to fit 33s) with my SAS and theres way too much room over the tires. I'm taking out the body lift and might have to upgrade to that size. Looks great. Looks like you have some fender trimming in your future though.

As of now......including the price of the rig, I have less than $6 in it. I guess this is my version of a budget build up.

YEAH BITCH! NICE!!!

Right now the only rubbing I get is from the bumpers. I'm eventually going to sell the stock bumpers and either custom bend up my own or go the quick route and buy some. I was planning on doing some trimming but not really needed after I got it back down on the tires. I could run 40's if I did some trimming.

85badger how much lift did you get from the chevies (63" I assume)? also how did you position the hangers, I mean what were your measurements and where did you measure from? and how did you mount your shocks and spring perches to the axle?
Because I have all the stuff to do this mod I just want to make sure that i do it right the first time your help is greatly appreciated!

Well the chevy's (63") really didn't give me much lift at all. To get the rear to match the front's hieght I had to put 3" blocks between the axle and the springs. Not the best solution but I'm hoping the front will settle so I can take out the blocks or get shorter ones. Measurements........for some reason there isn't a very good place to measure from to mount the front spring hanger (rear springs) I actually measured 1" forward from the little drain holes in the bottom of the frame. I'll take some pics of the shock hanger and perches that we fabbed up. I'll post them tommorow.

Yes 15X8, 2"BS I can get some pics of the front. They stick out there a few inches though. Thinking of going with 2.5"BS.

How long are the rear shocks and can we get some pics showing how much they're angled in at the top?
