supercharger pulley tensioner?

I have one question. The supercharger that the dealer installed does not have a pulley tensioner on it, is it possible to ask toyota to order one and install it in my 4runner? Or do I need to call TRD to get one? Because my belt wobbles and the tension on the belt seems to be correct. Any information would be greatly appreciated since my warrenty is about to expire this summer.

I bought mine (sc) before the device was released to the public. When I found out about it, I went back to my dealer and they ordered it and installed it - all at no cost. They must have sold you an old kit if it didn't come with it. At least that's my understanding.

Thanks for the reply. they gave me the second generation SC'r but I guess the pulley tensioner may not have came out when they installed mine back in '00. Thanks I'll call them up and ask that they install it for me.

Mine came with one. Looking at the install, it is hard to imagine the belt running withour the tensioner.

Mine was installed in 2000 as well. The tensioner was not availible at that time.

Yeah...they'll install it......for a fee. Don't expect a free install if the tentioner wasn't available when you bought your s/c. You could always do it yourself. It's not that hard

Yeah, probably correct - you'll have to pay. I'm in VERY tight with my dealership (first name basis with almost everyone there!) and they may have just done it for a "special" customer.
