Maglight mod????

Okay may b stupdi, but I would like to see a write up for the maglight mod(putting it into the truck with the mounting brackets. Just to make sure that I don't find some way to screw up even the most simple mod, trust me I can do it.

check out this link.

alot of people have done this method since it beats drilling into the truck itself. I'm planning to do this as soon as Husky comes out w/ some for my 4th gen.

Def easy and simple mod that everyone can do! That includes both of us!!!

I know somewhere someone did one at one time showing how he drilled the holes in the sheet metal riser behind where your floormat butts up against.

To make it even easier, just do what I did.
Look on my hompeage and click on Maglite from my table of contents.

Thanks guys, I don't have any Huskey's yet and really can't afford any for awhile, I guess I will either just have to wait on the maglight mod or either find a new way to do it.

I just mounted mine to the metal bar running across the bottom of the drivers seat. I was a little hesitant at first, but it turned out really nice looking. I'm happy that I stuck it there.

I used my Rubber floor mat to do mine. Here's a link to a few pics
Look here

For the backside I used a piece of scrap wood to between the two mounts and screwed the mounts into it. You can pull it out with one hand with no probs.

Not a full write-up no, but I'm confident you'll be fine:

I got my clips at Lowe's, I'm sure Home Depot would have them too.

I was going to add the clips, but a decent size flashlight will fit perfectly between the front and rear seat mounts at the driver's door well. No need to spend any $ beyond the cost of the flashlight.

My flashlight has never disappeared under the seat or moved in 2 years.

Just a thought

I mounted mine on the back of the rear seats. It is really easy to do and is really out of the way. I found that the clips hold really well and it is not too hard to get to. It is not as easy as the way Corey did it, but I like it out of the way more. Just a thought. :fireman:

That is a cool site, but as of right now, I have 15 pop up adds from that site open form one minute of surfing

Man I hate pop ups with a passion.
A business like that has no business having pop up ads like that IMHO.

I have a paid version that a friend bought and gave it to me, but I have not installed it.
He says it works great.

Only problem is if you use it, you can't view the Tech section here, and I would not be not be able view my own website in the mods section, as I use pop up windows for my mods.

I'd have to be enabling/disabling it all the time.

I use Panicware pop up stopper. Stops even those X10 camera windows. Corey, to open any window all you have to do is hold down the "crtl" key before you click and the windows you choose will open.

To stay on topic...I drilled two holes in front of the seat and mounted my mag-lite there as well. The clips are somewhat tight and at times especially in the winter I am afraid I may break them.:chicken:
