Shackle hangers (Pics)

Finally got done with these. I'm currently drying them out so I can install them later. Thanks a lot for Steve's design and for sharing it for everybody. Took a while to get it completed because of busy sked on the ship.
PICS:

They attach to the frame and replaces the tow hook. Here's the instructions from Steve's site.

Those look good .. I did it slightly differently. I attached it to an "L" bracket, then drilled holes in the L bracket to correspond to the mounting points on the frame where the TJM attaches. Then bolted the whole thing together. L bracket, TJM to the frame rail. So far its worked out pretty well, I've "tugged" on it a few times, and it held up pretty well.

These mounts directly to the frame holes where my TJM is mounted. Remember, Steve's rig is a 99 and it's the same mounting as mine.

I don't know if the pics went up or not. But thats what I did. I think pics explain it better then my words. Its a little bit simpler then Steves design, but gets the job done.

Its bolted both on the bottom and side. There are three bolts holding it on the bottom and two on the side. So its bolted down with five bolts instead of with only two that came with Steve's design.

I just want to add that I didn't design these. I gave Steve's design to a fab guy who said he could make it stronger and this is the logic he gave me. I'm sure Steves work great too, b/c he really tests his stuff before marketing it.

Talking Shackle hangers

Looking good George!

I don't think either design should have any problems cause if the hangers on the bumpers are meant to pull out the rig, those beefier hangers should certainly do the trick.

Shahzad...need to use your current spray paint happiness and put some on those rusted spots dude! So you'll get it all out of your system before Tellico and the chrome incident

i've been looking for better front recovery points and those from sonoran steel look pretty nice. i looked at the applications on the website and saw that they will fit an '00 4runner with a TJM T-15 and a '00 Tacoma, but it didn't say if they would fit an '00 Taco with a TJM T-15, does anyone know if that application will work?
