Wiring harness routing 87 re, lost all power after motor swap

New to this forum thing, done many engine rebuilds and modifications. I installed the harness on the new motor I built but think I routed it wrong. The starter wire seemed a little short along with some other plugs, ( its egr deleted) so I know not all of them are used, pics of the routing would be helpful. Also as I went to fire it, it had power to the ignition, it clicked once and no power to anything? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Best to go find & get a service manual that has a wiring diagram to help you put it back together correctly. Meanwhile here is what I have:

http://www.offroadforum.cz/toyota/aa..._DIAGRAMS.html

Scroll down to find the '87 diagrams, there are 4 of them.

Start with this, and report back. This is from 198 4Runner. Wire color code should be same as 1987's

Sorry for the long delay. I ended up finding a bad relay under the kick panel. I replaced everything wiring lies from fuel pump forward and all the fuel pressure regulators and fuel dampers come to the conclusion that it was a $6 relay after changing the main fuse and every single fuse in the truck. I tested the relay and it seemed to be clicking but there wasn't enough juice going through it.

Sometimes that happens because the contacts on the relay get pitted or corroded, due to arcing. It's just the nature of the beast. Hard to see it since the contacts are sealed inside a case, so don't feel too bad, it's gets the best of us.
At least now you know everything to do with that circuit is top notch.

Thankfully, Westinghouse (The Circle-Bar_W Check their emblem ) put relays with clear cases in the high-failure areas of the radar I used to work on many years ago. Made finding the ones, like your's, with bad, arced contacts, a LOT easier.
One of the few things they did right with that system...

I used to work for Westinghouse, assembling the manuals for those radar systems. Small world.
