Do You Have An AFR Gauge?

Do you have an AFR gauge?

If so, what brand?

Where is it grounded?

Where is it drawing power from?

Where is the controller mounted?

I do, only needed if you are boosted and then only if something more then a stock pulley TRD supercharger. Not needed at all on 01+ trucks.

Search around for a good deal on a wideband, most work fine, check review for whatever you find.

Follow the instructions for wiring, power from the battery through a fuse is good, switched power through a relay wherever you can find it, cigarette lighter in most works.

Mount it wherever you want. I prefer out of the way installs nowdays. I actually prefer widebands that don't have gauges myself, just hook it up to a computer/phone when you are tuning, otherwise it is just in the way.

I have an AEM wideband setup and love it. Very fast response, easy to read and accurate. I also like the interchangeable bezels and face plates. I ran a relay and power point setup: I used a 20 amp capacity relay and wired (coil side of relay) it to the cig lighter. The other side of the relay (high amp draw side) is wired to power a small (5 location) fuse block on the firewall, this way the gauge is on a switched source. The ground is on the firewall using a simple ground block. As for the gauge, I mounted it using the 2 pod setup from Lotek.

I have the same AEM wideband. I have done everything this guy ^ did. Relay on a switched ignition source. The gauge is just wedged in the front left windshield between the dash and windshield. It's right next to my progressive meth controller gauge.

You should totally get a piller pod. You can get universal ones that work, thats what I am using. Way better then just shoving them someplace lol.

If you have a California emissions truck, it has a wideband up front, and you can use an OBD2 scanner, and correlate the reported voltage to AFR using this chart.
