Gas tank + drive shaft!

so i was doin a little wheelin a couple days ago...when i get near full flex in the rear, it sounded like something grabbin/pullin/and poppin from down below. i decided after that that maybe i should have put on those new bumpstops in the rear to prevent from flexin too far (2years ago when i originally put my lift on), so hopefully that will fix prob.

ANYways, has anyone else had this problem? i feel like i remember seeing this on a thread on one of the forums for 3rd gen 4runners.

Thanks!

yeah--if you increase the rear travel or mess with the rear suspension your Zirk fitting either hits the gastank or skid plate and shears off.....

I have seen it in person, freakin scary as hell. Zeb8806 had this problem at Rausch Creek. I'll see if I can dig that thread up.

so from the other post maybe i should look at replacing bushings? ill post up some pics of the setup after work...i got the adjustable pan hard bar from Steve at Sonoran steel, maybe its not adjusted correctly or something?

any thoughts on re-adjusting the bar's length? im not really educated on the exact cause and effect of adjusting it.

if you go to steves site he tells you what the length needs to be for a given suspension height increase.

If you didnt do anything to the rear suspension then why would you purchase the adjustable panhard bar?

Are we missing some detail here?

Zeb8806 also has or had I don't know for sure now, but when his D/S was hitting the tank he had the LC coils as well.
