Any lift coils for 04 runners yet?
Can't find any replacement coils for my 04. Is there such a big diff in the new 4runners that older coils would not work? This is my 1st yota so I don't have much experience with IFS so I am not sure how much lift you can go up front with just coils? 1-2.5 inches?
TIA

The only lift currently available are the spacer lifts made by Revtek and Daystar.
Full suspension lift that are currently in development by manufacturers:
SAW - coilover(front only)
Downey - coilover(front) and coil/shock(rear)
Those are the only manufacturers that I know of that are currently either on the shelves or on developement.
More news to follow from the latter two ofcourse.
The suspension is a rebuild of existing technology and new technology. Unfortunately none of the older gen toyota's (including other models) will work on our system.
With IFS, you should be able to gain 3" at most before you experience severe CV problems. All spacer lifts are 2.5" and the coilover obviously will be able to gain 3" but only 2.5" is recommended.

The spacers are done and are on the shelves as we speak
The coilovers are still pending. Downey however does have the front coilovers completed (as verified by my own two eyes!) but are still waiting on the completion of the rear coils (shocks are done though). They told me 4 weeks ago that they should have been done but apparently it's taking abit longer than expected.

I have an appointment to drop off my 4runner during the 1st week of January! They will have it for a few days to test the lift and do other r&d (headers etc etc) so I should have my 4runner back by the end of the week. This is all tentative as they are short staffed right now due to the holidays so the dates may vary.
But I have been told that the lift parts are all in the shop now for testing so that is indeed comforting news
Happy Holidays!

mp95bravo:
you can actually lift your 4runner even with the xreas system..
the only thing you need to do is completely remove the system in it's entirety. The problem is that the xreas system is a closed pressurized system which means you really can't do much unless you disable it (i.e. removing it). Removing the system means opening the system thus making the system nonuseable.
I'm pretty sure they'll install it for ya but that's up to you. The coilover is very easy to install (should take around 30 min tops?).
The rear is actually easier than the previous 3rd gen 4runners as the shocks are alot easier to remove now
woohoo!
Anyway, as soon as the lift is in, i'll take pictures and then give everyone the 411 on the lift
