Aftermarket Center Console???

I have an 85 4runner SR5. It has the back seat heater, so my center console is only about an inch deep. Does anybody know of any aftermarket center consoles, locking or not, that I could replace it with? I will be doing away with the heater in the center console, so that won't be an issue.

Thanks

Your just going to have to look around to see what you can find that you like and that will fit. Im in the same position right now, i just can`t find anything that i like or that will fit in the space between the seats.

I put a Tuffy Security console in mine:

They have a smaller 6.5" wide unit that fits in between the seats or I went with the full 8" wide unit and moved the seats out a little bit. Sits a little far back right now, with the rear t-case shifter in the way. Will move it forward once I finish up my triple stick shifter that is moved forward 6"-7".

Where did you get the Tuffy unit? I would be interested in the 6.5" inch one so I wouldn't have to move the seats, would you happen to know the part number or anything so I could look it up specifically? Thanks for your help!

Also, how exactly would it bolt in to the vehicle? Do you need to make mounts or will it bolt to the existing holes or what?

I got mine from JC Whitney some years ago. Don't recall the p/n off hand, should be able to find it below:

I just drilled mating holes in the bottom of the console to line up with the 3 factory console mounting bracket holes.
