PO had hacked an aftermarket radio in my truck (1988 pickup), and I mean hacked bad. It would stay on when the ignition was off, and only one speaker worked. I removed everything I could, most of the wires were shoved in the connector, and it looks like the two front speakers have their own wires. Anyway, here's what I have after removing all that crap. I know the center connector is for the radio, but what are the other two? Thanks

Each wire has a main color and a stripe color. If you give us those, someone with an EWD (electrical wiring diagram) might be inspired to help you.

There are a number of "boxes" in the radio area; location alone isn't enough (at least for me).

I lack the EWD otherwise it would be pretty easy! I was hoping someone would recognize them just by shape. I'm guessing power delivery based on the terminals being larger. The (chopped up) cigarette lighter lead is above the area in the picture, so I'm not sure what else it could be.

Not sure what the one on the left goes to (it is not connected to anything on my truck), but I am pretty sure that the 4 pin connector on the right is for the factory digital clock. You may or may not have one but it is pre-wired from the factory on all trucks and 4runners from this time period.

I believe the rear speaker harness has the small terminals just like the main radio harness. You probably do not have one, most trucks didn't.

Well, I finally got around to looking at this some more, and the 4-terminal connector is definitely not for rear speakers. It has two grounds, a constant 12v and a switched 12v. Any ideas what it does? There's another connector up top where the clock would be, but I don't have one.

And, if the red wire on the left is for the cigarette lighter, I have another loom with a 12v and ground....

Did you ever figure this out? I have a 92 Pickup that got hacked up bad in that area, too. I'd like to clean it up for a better stereo install and at the same time I'm trying to install an illuminated cigarette lighter outlet that I pulled from a 93 4Runner. The plug for the outlet from the runner has a 4-pin connector that looks similar to what you have posted, though only 3 actual wires in it with a 4th wire (white w/black stripe) just hanging out there. I'll have to get some pictures up for comparison. With the different generation, it might not be the same plug. It looks like I don't have the plug for the lighter in my truck. There's a 2-pin plug that has the pins in an L-shape that I'm guessing was probably for a non-illuminated lighter, but I'm not sure.

I believe the 4-pin one is for a factory clock, no idea what the single red one is. My cigarette lighter plug was hacked off, but I know a lot of toyotas use the L-shaped plug for them.
