straight axle conversion

What would b the best straight axle to put under a 94 pick-up running 36" tires with 538 gears.Also what all do i need to measure?

Go ahead and do some reading in the "Solid axle swap" folder. As I can tell you haven't done any research.. You have alot of reading to do.

youll probably should be looking for an 82 dana44 from an 82 jeep grand wagoneer the wms should be 65inches

go find you a mid 80s international dump truck, put the rear axle up front and measure how long it took you to figure out i was joking after u get to the period.

unless you change out your stock rear end from a Toyota you aren't gonna find 5.38's
closest is 5.29's.

best one would be a 85 Toy axle with some longfields or Dirty 30's

oh come on guys its all about helping out newbies. Buddy you got to do more research thats for sure but here ya trail gear makes a good and complete kit but some people dont like cause of sproing sag also all pro makes a kit its a lil more pricey . try north west off road and wab fab is awesome look them up too as far as what axle 85 toy axle is best bet i think then i suggest research research etc there r alot of good sas threeads on here. Good luck your looking at about $2500.00 or so unless you do your own fabbing up

oh no problemo ill be doing the same soon post pics when ya start it will help me he he im gona go with tg it sells for $1049.00 and is complete and for me i think it will do good imjus gona do the 4.3 swap first i have a buddy that has 2 chvy 4x4 s10 blazers and im gona swap motor in them for him and i get whats left over (yippie free motor and 4l60 tranny)

me and my buddy are doing his truck this weekend and then ill think ill do mine around june. but that sweet i wanted to drop a 3.4 in but ors stopped making the kits

Even with ORS out of business (sucks cuz his stuff was quality) it is not stopping a lot of people check out the 3.4 swap folder
