Who here is good with code?

OK, we now have Flash caht as seen in the sticky in Off Topic.
I read a way to incorp on the forum in the footer section of who is in the chat room.

It works, but the text is black.
Check it out for yourself.
If using the black Extreme template, you will not see the text.
If you click to use the Original template, you can see the black text.

Here is the code:
<!-- flashchat users -->
<tbody>
<tr>
<td class="thead" colspan="2">Flashchat users</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<tbody>
<tr>
<tr>
<td class="alt2" colspan="2">
<iframe frameborder="0" height="100" src="chat/info_embedded.php" style="width: 100%; margin: 0; padding: 0; border: 0; overflow: hidden;" scrolling="no" border="0" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<!-- end flashchat users -->
Anyone know where I can inser the command for white text like the page has now?

for the text in that area, give it a new css class. like say class="chatusers" and then modify the curent class, i think it's "alt2" now, so that --> color: #FFFFFF

can you edit the css classes?

I see the area where we mod the colors, but I will let Mike try it later.
For now the text will be back until we get it sorted out.

It will be kind of cool to see who is in chat before you try going into it.

It is a css thing.
I searched the chat authors forum for
black text
and found a thread.

I'm surprised that Midiwall hasn't found this thread yet. Anyways, it should read something like:

.chattext {font: verdana; color:white}

That should get you started.

Ya, but I am not sure where to input it.
I am sure Cebby can figure it out.
He is pretty handy with the VB stuff since starting up his tool&fab forum.

Corey - I have to build a Tiki Hut for the Mrs tonight. Everyone done laughing? Seriously... Vacation Bible School thing.

I'll have a look at this late night.

Just in case Cebby doesn't get around to it tonight (and I wanna see who's in chat soon)

I take it that you have a file for each skin we can choose from, so you should just have to add that code in each one of those files for each skin and you should be good to go.

If the skins get all wacky it's not my fault, right?

Ryan - a little different than that. vB uses templates to display the information. There are also styles that we use for the various color schemes. We now have it setup that there is one "default" style where we make all the template edits - these are generally not style specific, so it give us just one place to make the edits.

With that being said - Corey - where did you put that chat user code from up above? I looked in the default footer and did not see it.

I believe that this may be part of the culprit here: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/whats-going-names-88387/

Who, what happened with usernames not showing?
Did I break something

I see it is fixed though, but I have also been running Firefox as of late...

I see the "Who is chatting box" is gone though.
Was that screwing around with usernames?

The Who's chatting was pulled through my process of elimination to fix the usernames not showing. It was NOT at fault - I'll put it back today (hopefully fixed...)
