Playing with Adobe After Effects

I figured, I have gotten rather decent with Photoshop and have used Ulead Video Studio before, I'd try out After Effects.

Using some pre-made templates aka project fines I made these videos. They look better if viewed directly on YouTube and don't forget to switch it to 1080p and at least in the large player, if not full screen.

This one went pretty well and only took 2 hours to render.

This was a PITA and showed some possible flaws in my ram. Blue Screens and other misc errors while trying to render. I might need some new sticks. Comp itself was built about 3 years ago. So It wouldn't surprise me. Ovrall it wouuldhave taken roughly 14 hours to render in one shot. Wasn't able to do that with the BSOD etc. So I had to pre-render each scene separately and then piece it together.

Plenty more to come. I might tweak these ones or start a new project.

One of the best on the market. Any software that renders well is gonna suck resources out of the computer. It would have been faster had I had an Nvidia graphics card and not an ATI card since AE has provisions to render some if not all through the graphics card itself and take some load off the processor.

This is the next one I did you you guys. NOTE: Had to upgrade from my dual core and 4 gig of ram to a quad core with 8 gig. Runs much better now.

$539 for CS5.5 to over $700 depending on who's selling it. Stick with the trial version. There are ways around trial expiration. Like changing the date on the computer and registry cleaners to get rid of the traces from previous installs.

If doing a general slideshow, After Effects can be real tricky when it comes to transitions. I used to work with Ulead Video Studio for that, but AE has much more potential.
