I've printed the page out and studied the ones I would use more frequently as not to annoy any truckers when "standind on the side." Often I ask for a 10-13 for the road ahead of me on the interstate so that I may use a different exit to avoid traffic back up and avoid headaches.

 

I have not heard most of them ever used (most on the air these days either don't know them or just speak w/o codes). The most common ones back in the day were 10-7,8,9,13,20,33,and 50. Might have just been a local thing, though.

Yeah my buddy is on the rescue squad so I'm constantly listening in for the codes they call out. It's especially interesting if you have a scanner and listen and actually understand some of the codes.

 

Actually, as we all know from Smokey and the Bandit, 10-100 is taking a leak. 10-200 is pinching a loaf.

 

Whats the code for morons driving down active logging roads without a CB? Those guys piss me off

 

The first cb I ever bought came with a book with the codes in it. I carry it in the door compartment for the times I am on the interstate.

 

"I've got go 10-100" "well....at least thats better than a 10-200"

 

apparently 10-100 is better than 10-200...because 10-200 is police needed...thats a serious loaf pincher there...

Very similar to the 10 codes we use here a dispatch, we also you signal codes.

 

Yeah I was unfortunate enough to go on a call w/ best buddy on a signal 9 call. It means someone died. He's on our community's Resuce Squad and we were just shooting the bull when he got the call and I went with him. For the 3rd straight week someone was killed on a tractor. We arrive at the scene and there wasn't enough people to lift the skid steer off the man and I had to help pull his body out. I still cannot get the image out of my head. I highly admire people who do are in the life saving career. It was also kind of personal since the first week in the string of tractor accidents, my Great Uncle was killed on his when his tractor's wheel rolled on top of him. It's still unknown whether or not he fell out of the tractor and it rolled on him or if he was standing behind it, but fortunately it was instant.
A week later someon else in the close area was killed after his flipped over, the very next day my own Grandfather (my Great Uncle's brother-in-law) was hit in the head by a freak stray branch and broke his upper jaw not even half a mile away from where my Uncle was killed. He's okay now but still recovering. Thirdly was the accident I had to help with. The string of accidents all occured within 4 miles of each other. It's a rural farming/cattle area.
