TV monitor in dash. Tacoma.

Anyone have any pictures or advice on putting in a 7" monitor in a 2003 tacoma?
I already have the monitor so the flip out kinds dont apply. Also I dont want to have to build a bracket and have it hanging somewhere.
Ideally it would be mounted in the dash where the stock stereo is and then i would have to put the head unit somewhere.

Is there a good place to put both the monitor and head unit in dash?

Pictures are always good!

Thanks.

This is the set up I have no. It's a little outdated in terms of technology. If I had to do it again .. I would go with something like this:

it's a touch screen. You can run ur radio, dvd, navigation, ipod pretty much everything off one screen.

Thanks for the pics.
What all goes into installing that. I see that you relocated the AC/Air controls. Where did you get the piece surrounding the monitor?

the a/c controls are easy to relocate ... two quick screws and your done.

I also cut out the ash tray and fitted the radio down there.

the surround piece is made of wood, and then wrapped in black vinyl. Then the screen slips right inside. The whole thing just pops right out if need be.

I also added satelite radio to the set up as well:

The pic below is the way to go... So you don't have to look down too far. If I had video capabilities on the OEM NAV, I would have done the same thing for the passenger, but since it's only NAV, I/we don't look at it much as in watch it. I think I would get a little case of motion sickness looking down at a tv in the stock location in the dash.

Try having someone drive you around, and stare at that one point where the stock radio is, then at the point where it will be if you do it like below. You may find you get sick as well. Or since you'll probably be driving, see where it's good for the passenger.
