speakers

When I buy speakers, I usually go for something european, they seem to work the best. I stay away from alpine speakers. I dont see how a speaker can produce high quality sound with a gaping hole in the cone.

I have some mb quart 4" components(used to be in the front of my 86, now in the back of my 99)
some focal 6" components in the front
a eclipse 10" woofer
All of these speakers I bought at seperate times when they were on a really good sale. With the deck, speakers, and amplifiers, it took me 2 years to build a sweet system. The speaker I have sound awsome, I would recomend them to anyone. I think mbquart was bought out by some one a cuple years back though.

ive got JLs in the front and pioneer 6x9's and a jl 10" mounted in cheepo boxes to the walls of the bed. i like the sound but i hear infinity capa's are better for the front because you can aim the tweeter at the passengers instead of at the floor like the stock positioning.

I have Alpine components and in the rear doors. Clean sound though.
Next get rid of the 10" RF for a JL and I will be set.

next questions:
1. I used the crutchfield thing to find what'd fit in my car... I have no door speakers in any of my doors? It's a 95 4runner limited.
2. how do I get the molding off in the back (the one place I do have speakers?) I can get to the top ones by popping that top piece off (where the light is [which doesnt work]) but I don't know how to get the rest off and I don't have the patience to fool around with it right now, I just want someone to tell me how to do it.
thanks

I'm putting in 4" kickers in my front and i got a 10" kicker sub as well. I just got the speakers for an early present. I'll probably work on installing them soon. I may go down this weekend to the shop and see about getting it done then.
. Umm the rear ones i'm not sure mine don't work and I can't hear them over the sub. I believe there is a guide somewhere online for that too search a few other threads. The front speakers are in the dash area or at least on my 95 they are.

i got a dual DVD CD player for 499 at best buy on sale touch screen and all and put 4" and 6" infinity speakers in the truck. they are awsome. Dont go with pioneer, or sony they are crap. what you pay for it what you get. crutchfield is awsome to go through if you can. also when you order from them they can send you master plans on how to do everything they are really good instructions too. i used them to put my stuff in my truck. its easy to do.
