The last shots I have of it

This is me just playing with double low (186:1 before the tourque converter). It typically takes some momentum to climb that spot but it just walked it. I could have droped to 5:1 and bumped it over the last hump but....meh

A little off topic, but with those sliders (all-pro right?) Do they look good with only 33's? I want to get a pair for mine but, just wonder if the kickout sticks out too far with that size tire

yeah all pro. No I love these sliders and the kick out is a must IMO. You can kinda see it here. These are on 33 12.5 tsls on 15x8's and 3.75 BS

The other reason I like the AP sliders is they are still made from DOM (hence the price) and most other companies (trail gear...) are using HREW. Sure you could make an argument that hrew is fine for gussets in a cage, or.... But for Sliders Im a huge fan of DOM I have seen too many people dent Hrew of bend it so the doors wont open on MUCH lighter hits that my sliders have taken.

The rear suspension at that point was 1.5" All Pro coils (which provided no lift, it just leveled the truck) some 2.25 spacers, and disconnected sway bars, and 4" longer shocks.

Yea i was gonna say that the rear end flexes way more than mine. I have some Landcrusier coils that i am going to throw back there but i am not sure about the length of shock i need.

Again, i really want to get those sliders, i might order some soon. still not sure.

Inchworm Auto Adapter?

Just curious if you did the install of the Inchworm dual case for your auto? I have cases built for my auto and wondering how tough the install of the adapter from Inchworm is. Is there a build thread for it? Love the 4runner and all the work done to it, I have followed the build thread since the start.

Thanks

Thanks guys

Yes I did the install of the IW adapter. Its not too bad. Its a nasty dirty job and stressful if your not comfortable in an auto. Let me know what you want to know.

I should say I did blow that trans somehow while I was in there. I think its because the first time I put it togeather I didnt line up the tab on the shifter lever with the notch on the piston, and the piston was all the way to the front of the oil pan and I beleive that allowed fluid flow to all gears and engaged all of them. I realized something was wrong becasue I could spin output flange while the truck was off but as soon as I turned it on the flange was locked in all gears. I beleive that did the damage that later took out the trans. When it went out I decided to just do a 3.4 swap and run the a340f and used the marlin adapter to mate up the duals.

Awsome thread.... Way to keep it alive as well. Made me jump in my rig and take a stroll around the town. Any reason you went with auto instead of stick??

Thanks

I like auto better for offroad, more control, even power, always in the right gear, never have to shift midway up a hill, I can stop on a scary obstacle and I wont move and I can start moving again without using 3 feet, oh and did I mention CONTROL!!

My DD is a stick, so I get my onroad fix there.

I lifted the front about 1" to 1.5" by cranking the t-bars and cutting down my factory rubber bumpstops (I hate poly bumpstops). I liked the ride and would crank the bars again. Yes I didnt get much flex out of the front but I was only getting 1-2" so I wasnt loosing much. Also I was running 26mm downey t-bars. I pounded the body seam flat also. I could turn 35's lock to lock with no rubbing. But I wheeled, at that time, on 33" tsls (33.7" tall so huge 33's) and they didnt rub.

The rear was 1.5" AP coils which didnt lift me at all so I got some 2 1/4" coil spacers as well and I had a rake.

while I dont beleive I would run that setup again, It should be said that from the begining I planned on SAS'ing and planned to run the IFS into the ground.

BTW mini-truck ifs is way under rated! I cosider it to be, pound for pound, one of the strongest IFS's out there. I beat mine for years and never broke a cv, I just kept a steady supply of Idler arm bushings handy, which at .94 cents a piece from toyota I didnt mind. I got to the point that I could change the bushings in a parking lot in about 2 min.

So how do the Rockers do on the street? I'm looking for new tires for the beater and have been looking at pitbull tires.
