Update on the runner

Mkay, I just finished dual cases (Inchworms behind the 340h 2.28:1/5:1, twinstick, 10* clock, longfield chromoly output)

Installed a cooler for the hydro assist

Built a center console

thread...
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f88/...onsole-137626/

I screwed up the trans somehow while taking it apart to do the necessary mods to run duals behind the 340h. So I think I toasted the trans or maybe just the TC. But im throwing in a 3.4 and a 340f.

I will keep you guys a little updated there isnt much to tell though. I picked up the donor today. Its a 92 4runner with a 3.4 swap that I did a couple years ago, so it will be a very easy swap

Your rig is amazing. Definitely one of the best builds I've seen.

I didn't think you could run duals with the A340H?

Looks good man, I'm going with a 3.4 myself, and will be swapping it this quarter after i finish the rebuild. Hope your swap goes smooth, like your ride.

That is a beautiful, smooth center console...you're giving me ideas! but I have no money...haha someday, I suppose.

Great work on the truck though, definitely has given me inspiration.

IT DRIVES!!

11 day 3.4 swap!!

I drove it around the subdivision yesterday and WOW what a difference! Even in my 5300lb pig and an automatic it chirps the tires when it down shifts.

VERY HAPPY

Well my dog decided to open a 1 liter bottle of gear oil in the back seats of my truck, sample it, lay in it, and track it through my interior.

Luckily I still had the donor for the 3.4 which is also a 92 4runner and has imaculate interior, so I swapped EVERYTHING.

The 3.4 swap only took me 9 days and here it is

I have the 120lb 37's on it now and it is considerably slower than with the 50 lb 35's. No more chirping the tires with an auto. But the truck is pleasantly powered. everything is effortless and the truck feels light nimble.

Oh and I built myself a x-member for the tcase. Its simple but effective. And installed a large trans cooler in place of my condenser and a guage in the console to watch things. It gets to about 150* around town and about 125* on the highway. So NICE and cool!

Awesome, dude! Very cool build...

50 lb. 35" to 120 lb. 37"?!?!!!
I never realized the weight difference 2" could make on a tire!

Hey with the 3.4 swap how did you make the engine clear? Body lift? Hood scoop?

No body lift and it does fit. But it kisses the hood slightly so im going to put a scoop on it. It didnt hit the hood on the donor though... wierd.
