front shoot? do you want a shot from the front square on, or one looking down the side to get a shot of the protruding tires

"one looking down the side to get a shot of the protruding tires" - I guess I should post it in 85badgers thread.

Let us know when you get your front third in and get some miles on it. I'm interested in seeing if you have vibes at speed.

3rd is in and above 5mph I need a mouth piece!! But who cares I dont drive on the road in 4wd, and I have disco hubs. If I need to travel faster than 5mph then I dont need 4wd.

Incase anyone is considering a CV shaft up front

Sounds like I had the same conversations with Jesse that you and others have had. Since I often run 40-60 MPH in the dessert I would rather have speed capability over articulation so I had Jesse retro my IFS CV Drive shaft.

I've had it up to 65 in 4WD on the street (removed rear drive shaft) and it runs good. Jesse recomended I put a limit strap on the front third to prevent binding, don't seem to need it the shaft doesn't bind at full droop. I am running a high pinion 3rd and 3" lift springs so that might help.

4rnr unrelated question, what length shackle did you use on your rears?

Did you have to change your oil pan to the T100 pan?

No, running stock oil pan. I read some threads where people have done that but it doesn't seem to be in the wayf for me. I may condiser it if I can lower things a little.

I am running marlin 4" fronts with the 2nd leaf removed which is suppoed to give ~3" of spring lift, they might not have settled fully yet. This is more lift than the AP 3" buggie springs give with a foward mounted front hanger.

Sounds like you are getting ready for some cutting?

took measurements for the bumpstops today so I got to drive up stuff (even though I drive up every light pole I find) Heres some cool pics...

I have lots of droop left but if I threw another tire in there the stuffed springs would go negative. But it was cool anyway. The tires Iam climbing on are 35's

I sectioned the quarter quite a bit and it seems like I got it perfect

Ive got alot of pics of the suspension and its positions so if you want more pics let me know.

I also put the 35 at's on today and got a feel for the truck on nice tires. It rides better and smoother than it ever had!! silent, smooth as glass, and plenty of power!! (well for a 3.0)

Take a pic of the 92' next to the 88'. I want to get an idea of the amount of lift you have.

Looking good.

Little update, I upgraded all the leafs to the new USA leafs that marlin is offering they are supposed to compare to alcan, and deaver. So far Im glad I did it they ride better on the road. But the real upgrade is just in materials used (which in a spring is EVERYTHING) and they are way tougher, guys have been running these HARD with no problems for years.

I also did the bumpstops ill get some pics of those up soon.

Yes it is, there are 2 tubes running off the back of the hoop and tied into the engine mount. You can see them here...
