Cut the roof off the camry, pull as much un-needed stuff off, back seats etc, fenders, every non-essential piece.

Grab some crappy big used tires for the front....

Then, head for glamis

"it's a diesel" LOL!

This is a real big long shot, but the RD90 in the red truck used to be in the 4Runner. I took the entire 4Runner diff over there and told them to move it over. I did not want the 4Runner diff back. If they tossed it, it's gone, if they throw that in a pile out back, there is the front diff casting from my 4Runner out there with the hole in the right place.

I'll stick with my "new" front casting, it's a lot better.

He can not drive the truck with the front diff out, the front wheel bearing will collapse as they are semi-float and need the front axles to provide the rest of the support.

If it had manual hubs he could drive it or if it was the old IFS.

Tim, just consider this as an option: I still have my original diff that you can use if you need to drive your truck. The gearing is wrong but at least you can drive it.

And use this casting and put the hole in the right spot. Mine still may be out there. I would ask them.

I understood no diff= no drive. Does seem that a manual hub "upgrade" would be nice for many reasons though.

Just was curious as to whether or not 4Wheeleers would be reinstalling the diff minus ARB fittings. Figured it would still work, be setup, geared right and he could even use 4WD.

Thanks Steve. I'll call them and see.

So... how does CK look then? I guess the 4Runner will be able to go, just no front lock?

I don't really see you needing a fully locked rig on this type of run anyway.
?? we'll see. The whole rig is down there so I'd have to ask them to put it back together until the parts came in and then ask them to redo it. I think I may just leave it there until its fixed...? With Danica's car down for the count I'm now paying for a rental car. Doh. This is all really frustrating, but having all of you guys to help out with ideas, labor, etc has made it all doable. It sucks, but its doable.

I'm there! The massive torque could handle, say.... 40's!

Thank you! I may, but lets see what they say later today. If it can be sorted out great. if not... I may be headed over in the rental car.

They do have some amazing rides in there. From rock crawlers to one of walker evans old trophy trucks. I'll take walkers ride. I know who built that one.

Thanks T. We'll see. If I don't get it back I may just curl up in a ball in the corner rocking back and forth repeating "redrum"

It was a long and sordid journey. I have my precious back. Thank goodness!

I just drove it home from 4wheelers. No noise, no clicking, whirring, kerplunking, whaming, slaming or jaming!
It sounds great! I'll be fully recovered when I test the front locker to see if it engages.

I'm glad I'm not at all attached to my vehicle.....
Its truly a happy day. Its like my puppy came home

That's really great to hear. Just sorry you had to go through this whole ordeal. Hopefully you will get some compensation from Racer's out of this situation.
