Me too. I think they will laugh off the rental car invoice, but I'll send it all since in reality they are all things I wouldn't have incured otherwise.
Lets go do a nighttime trail! Anything to get out there.

I'm on my way! Meet you by the cactus.

I am SO ready to be on the dirt. It's rediculous. I'm going to camp somewhere out by the AZ Rocks thing this weekend.
Then down to Tucson for a buddies wedding Saturday night.
If anyone wants to come down to hit a Tucson Trail up Sunday let me know.
I will be doing some playing on the CNC Plasma for a while, but then I want to go and hit up a couple Tucsonia trails. Anyone that comes down can kick it at my families place.

Good to know that everything worked out and that your 4runner is back up and running.

Time to hit the trail.

Thanks guys! Once we find a car for danica it will be back to normal I think.
I had a hard time letting her drop me off and then taking my 4runner today.

Now I just need to get the roof top tent mounting all situated so I can get out there and camp! I can't wait!

WE HAVE DUAL LOCKER ACTUATION. we have made the connection. It has been confirmed!

Woo hoo! Just gotten tighten up the connections to keep the seal tight so the compressor doesn't keep coming on every 40 seconds.

Well, the gears are great, the lockers works...

The front driver side axle leaks like the titanic out of the front diff....

I am thinking about doing it myself. I just don't trust ANY shops out there touching my truck again.

Anyone done those? Any good write ups on it out there? I hope there is not an inner seal that can only be reached from the inside of the diff... Is there?

Inner diff seal, take the axle out and replace the seal, it probably leaks because the axle was in/out too many times. That happens.

A place where the women flow like the salmon of capistrano and the mechanics only drink a sixer before technical work on customers vehicle. It is the elite shop, the best of the best... it is "THE Shop"

Cool! As long as I don't have to touch that damn diff I'm all over it.
Thanks Steve!

Sorry about the news Tim. Hopefully the seal repair will go fairly quickly and solve the problem.

I was surprised. It took less than an hour and then I did the motor oil change while I was at it. I just needed one panicked text message to 111db when I couldn't figure out which way to put the seal in. By the time I pryed out the old one it fell to the ground and I went... oh crap. which way was it placed in.
I'm getting a little better at this stuff.

Uhmmm.... no you are not. No guy in his right mind would post that he is capable of replacing a front diff seal and changing the oil on a 3rd Gen 4Runner in about one hour. You are gonna get swamped with maintenance requests now.

"oooh, oooh... fix mine next, fix mine next, fix mine next!!!"

You have surely doomed yourself with your swift and highly skilled mechanical abilities.

Sadly I was hit on the head by a stray gargantuan bird dropping that knocked me unconscious shortly after finishing the job. I don't even know who you are. Who are you!?
