I'm getting a little better at this stuff.
Tim - good to hear you got that figured out and done! Hopefully now you can enjoy the 4runner for awhile.

Looks good. How comfortable was it? I'd be afraid of falling out of it in the middle of the night.

HA! The good part is that there is no where to fall. Your locked in. If the 50 mph winds couldn't get in. I'm not accidentilly falling out.
Its REALLY comfortable. Almost too comfortable. I don't feel like I'm camping!
The sleeping platform was nice compared to the ground. With this I find myself comparing it to my bed at home...

So, I'm curious... if it feels like your bed at home, and doesn't really effect the drive-ability that much... what's keeping you from becoming a traveling hobo?

I am half expecting to start seeing updates with you and Danica in Cuba or Alaska as you travel the world with only gas money to worry about.

Heck... if you guys don't do it, maybe we will.

The temptation is strong. Really strong! I think we are starting to think about doing a month long trip across the US sometime in a year or so. Need to pay off the 4runner and some student loans first!!
Shouldn't you be sleeping?

Elvota never sleeps.. and is always watching you all.

Isn't that a comforting thought.

T.... that website is just plain unfair. Even just sitting there watching the opening sideshow makes me realize how much I miss the road, or lack there off.

My new goal is to figure out a way to make a life like that work out for me and Micki. I am going to start formulating my ideas for corporate "Traveling HOBO" sponsorship after I get off work.

I wonder if governments need someone to just drive around and make sure all those tiny dirt roads still exist for record keeping purposes. There has got to be a way to tie that concept into environmental responsibility or some other green buzz term that's hot right now.

X2. Crap. Now I need another 4runner to set up expedition style, several thousand in camera gear, a few additions to my camping gear, maybe a canoe... oh yeah, and a way to walk away from my obligations.
