Progress! Got new LCA bushings and Tie-rod ends and axle bearings in the SC'd truck...rides so much better now! Rewired my knock sensor to trick the CEL into thinking all was good so I again have full SC POWER! Ironically I was rushing to get it fixed before this month as the tags were due and I was dreading the emissions test....got my renewal in the mail and emissions arent required for it this year! Go figure...

Taking both trucks up to Chevelon Lake for some camping this weekend. Should be a much smoother ride for the SC'd truck!

So you know, Make Model and Year will press LCA bushings in for $10 a side and press axle bearings on for $30. Makes life much easier when they do it!

Thanks Roni - was a great time! Sorry we had to bail so early - next time we'll be hanging out all day and nite!

I should be able to head back out there again on the 28th if you're interested

trail down to Chevelon Lake. Good little set of staircases, not too tough. Mamma drove back up it. Good weekend, mostly rode the quads and gave the truck a break.

Just thought I'd share a sweet local deal I found. This guy has a few more left. They are the 5 gal NATO fuel cans. All new in wrappers. He is selling them out of his garage. Picked up 2 this evening. He does not have the spouts for sale but he showed me one he uses from cheaper than dirt. Anyways thought I'd share the info.

I have a true German NATO jerry can and it has the 'wide' mouth for which there is no US sold spout. I found a good solution w/ no mess. These work incredibly well and can be found for $10 shipped. Only down side is that the can has to be higher than the filler neck.

I got my jerry can here for $38 shipped.

I'm going to order mine from cheaper than dirt. I'll post up and let you know how it works out for me.

I couldn't tell if that can has the rolled or welded seams. As far as the siphon I have one of the "shaker" style ones. It works great and I don't have to hold the can the whole time I am pourning.

Picking up some "new" wheels tomorrow in Prescott for the Anthracite truck. Then off to Discount Tire to get some shoes. Opinion time: BFG 255/75/16 Muds or General Grabber 265/80/16's?

I have BFG MT 285/75/16's on the SC'd truck, and they're fine, but I like the red letter Generals too.

I definitely want a taller tire than the 285, just wondering what folks' opinion was with BFG vs. General as well as how big of a difference there is between 255 and 265. (can only get the General in a 265)

Was REALLY leaning toward 315's but I just don't wheel enough to justify the $$

was touching the UCA on the rack. Bashed it with a BFH and now it's two nickels or-so away at full droop....plus I like a bit wider stance up front. Thinking the spidertrax 1.25"
