OK guys well if no one else has anything to share I guess I will...

I finally purchased a 2wd 22re. Some of you know I've been on the hunt for quite some time now. Here it is... 5 speed manual, no ac, no power steering, lowered, and fun to drive! Already did the intake battery swap and started a build thread.

*very* interested in how it does off-road AND on-road.

You going to get some bushwackers?

Its definitely the way i'll go versus SFA.

Where did you get the t100 cv axles? new or used?

Nice job!

Well I have yet to clock the gas mileage on the 2wd but I get an average of about 19mpg in the 4Runner.

Roni, fun lookin' toy there.

Jeff, you just keep peckin' away and making that truck cooler all the time.

I think the LT is going to wheel really well. Here is a thread from a guy that did a nice LT first gen. The fun pics start on pg 6 if I didn't link it right.

Thanks - I actually found a set of brand new rear bushwackers on CL for next to nothing - picked them up this morning, need to find some fronts sooner than later.

I got the axles from the guy who sold me all the parts - I took them back to Autozone and did the warrenty swap - so they are both brand new even though he put very few miles on it.

Thanks! I love the new stance - I've only driven it from my house 2 miles to get an allignment, then 2 more miles to get the tires rotated/balanced then home. Needs an idler arm, there is some play in it - enough that it needs to be replaced - it since I got it at Autozone - warrenty swap!

Thank you! I keep saying I'm done doing things to it then something comes along I can't say no to. I love Deathrunner's truck - I hope some day to have my truck as awesome as that one but I have a long way to go

Newbie in West Valley

Hello folks,

Great posts and pics! I'm an Uber newbie out in Surprise. I have a 93' 4runner that i picked up a few months ago. I've got a few quirks on it that i've got to fix, but I'm not very mechanically inclined. I work with computer hardware/software repair... Cars aren't exactly my strength, however I'm very curious to learn. Hope to meet at a run sometime!

Welcome migwelloh. There are a bunch of good folks here. Yotatech is a great resource to figure out stuff with your truck. Don't hesitate to ask if you get stuck. Good luck.

Also, if you haven't found it yet, we keep a "for sale" thread for just AZ stuff. Usually stuff that has value but is just too big PITA to advertised generally on YT due to shipping or some other consideration. Here:

Yup, thats the stuff off Nicks truck. He was having a lot of issues with the truck and I think he gave up on getting it all fixed.

LOve that bumper on your runner lofregjeff! Where did you get that? IM located in Phoenix. I own a 87 pickup currently in the middle of a engine swap 22r to a 22rte. Getting a little lost with it and way over my head.

Thanks - I got it from a friend who custom made it for his own 4Runner - when he did a body swap from a 1st gen to a 2nd gen on his 86 4Runner it didn't fit so he basically gave it to me. Same thing with the rear bumper - same friend, same situation.

If you're looking for something custom made, hit up snowshredder555 - he is a fab guy - not to mention an awesome guy and a good friend. When the time comes for my next custom fab job, there is no one else around town I'd rather have work on my rig than him.

Quick update - got some Spider Trax wheel spacers for the rear to try and even up the rear tires. Just a temporary solution until I figure out what I want to do long term.

just for fun -

that looks awesome nate! Looks like the rear is just as wide as the front - did you do something to the rear, or is the Downey kit just not as wide as the Blazeland?

I like that roof rack thing in the first pic - I would love to have something like that - but the truck would never fit in the garage again.
