Thumbs up Four peaks clean up

So Clean up was cool. Took me about 2 hours to find them! I didn't know anyone there but the group was pretty chill. Cleaned up the park had fun wheeling... always a good thing right? Not a lot of photos but here they are...
Got this installed just in time! OME Steering Stabilizer

I think these clean up's should happen more often...and we need more people to represent YOTATECH!!

Roni - Thanks for going and representing YT - I had dinner with Stacy and Shannon and she gave me the rim - Thanks!!

Sorry I couldn't make it. I took my truck to get looked at this morning by my friend Weston who is a Toyota master mechanic and he's 99% sure its the fuel injectors - 2 of them are leaking on the passenger side really bad. Monday he is going to take the injectors to get refurbished and we're gonna go from there. Nothing like spending $1900 on "wants" then having to spend who knows how much more on "needs" - such is life when you have an expensive hobby. I will know more Monday.

Stacy said she would email me the pics they too - once I get them I'll post them up!

That run looked like fun! I'm kind of pissed I didn't end up going. Hopefully once I get this motor back in my runner I will be out there.

Man, I'm disapointed that I missed the cleanup, just had too much stuff going on. Looks like it was a nice day to be at the lake.

hello everyone

just checking in from maricopa been running with azfj but would love to run with other 4 runners. sounds like you have a great group also wanted to throw it out that i own a glass shop and i cater to the offroading community and if you have ins. we will give up to 100 dollars cash to replace your glass(nice to pay for runs). we also do gasket change outs on 1st and 2nd gens (get rid of the metal moldings) any ways thank you for your time and hope to see you guys on the trails

A Fella Disappears....

So a fella disappears for a couple of pages and look what happens...

Jeff- I'd be more than happy to help...you know I'm here...the injectors could be done in a weekend...remember I'm slow and methodical. As far as having a place for refurbishing the injectors...I have a place in Mesa that did mine, $15.00 per injector and had them back to me the same day (about 2.5 Hours). Just need to buy another upper intake plenum gasket, new rubber o-rings for the injectors. Did mine and was really pleased with the results. On the cheap for sure. OH YEAH!-Nice lookin' rubber...when do we get to test those out? They really set that Runner up nicely. Give's it a more aggressive appearance...ME LIKEY. Now you won't have any issues pulling me up for sure.. Now the BL, I'd like to help and the T-Bars, you know we can handle that one too.

Roni- Good to see you out on the trail again....and your girl...she's willing to go with you to help with trail clean up??!! Dude...she's gotta be a keeper.

Well, I think I have a bad rear outside axle bearing...need to get that fixed and a rubber bushing too. So, when are we hitting the trail next?....I'll leave this open ended.

Welcome to AZ! Where in the midwest are you from? I moved here from Detroit in July 10 years ago. Although its crazy hot out there, I still try to organize some trail runs every few weeks - mostly to Butcher Jones because all the trails lead to lake.

I am not sure about any clean ups being planned right now, but I do keep my eyes and ears open for those kinds of things. heck, if there isn't one we can always organize our own if someone knows of an area in need of a group effort - I'd be glad to help organize something and to help spread the word.

Ted - Glad to see you're alive!! Missed you on the last few runs - its time we get together and hit up the trials, I promise there still arn't any sea monsters in the lake

I love the look of the tire/wheel combo I ended up with - big difference going from a 31x10.5 to a 33x12.5 - I love it. I ended up doing the body lift last weekend by myself - it was very straightforward, only took about 2 hrs including doing the radiator drop brackets. No idea when I'll be ready to take it out for a test run, I might be down for a quickie run out to Buther Jones this weekend sometime. I am getting ready to head to Detroit for a week so my weekend free time is kinda limited cuz I need to get my stuff together for that.

I have a friend who owns a auto shop in Chandler and he specializes in Toyotas so I took it there and we did all the other work at his place. As for the injectors - 2 broke in half while trying to remove them, 2 were so bad the refurb place couldn't do anything for them, 1 was new 2 years ago so there is only 1 original injector left. While we had the plenum off we cleaned everything, replaced most of the vacuum hoses, cleaned the EGR real good, replaced the PCV since it was exposed - and tinkered around with a bunch of other little stuff. Its running great - but I definately need to regear soon. I talked to the world famous ZUK and he said he may be able to take care of my gears for me in a few weeks - crossing my fingers for that, he is amazing!

As for the other things like the steering gear box and T-bars, they still need to be done I just haven't been in a hurry to do either since the gear box isn't leaking much anymore and I'm dreading having to pay for another alllignment so soon. Oh yeah, I'd like to bleed the clutch like you keep suggesting - BUT - if there is ANYTHING I can do to help you out, please let me know, I still owe you big time for all the help you have given me!!

I have no experience with this but I am fairly mechanically inclined, AND I live in Chandler and I would love to help! I am planning on doing a 3.4 swap as soon as I can find a worthy motor - so if you need a hand let me know - I'll be back in town Wed the 6th.
