Sweet. I'm going to plan on being there!

So I got the new tires and rims from Discount - and they rub a little on the pinch weld. Maybe I didn't knock it down enough, I'm not sure - I'm going to give it a good beating tonite and see if that will help. In the mean time I also ordered a 1" BL from 4Crawler just to be safe.

Before with some very worn 31x10.5's:

And after with new 33x12/5's:

Over all I'm super happy - alot of people say they feel a big loss of power with bigger tires, but I drove it around for a bit last nite and it still gets up and goes just like it did before - I have NO complaints about my 3.Slo's power.

Anyone want/need some factory 15x7 rims off a 96 Tacoma? I have all 5 - 4 have tires 1 does not.

Looks great!

Do you have a body lift? I have 285/75R17 (11" wide) GY MT-R with a 1" body lift and still touch the pinch welds when turned. I haven't 'modified' them yet but will do this week. How far up the seam did you go?

Jeff- Congratulations on the new tires/wheels. They look great! Those KM2's seem to do really well on the trail. The power loss probably won't be as noticable with the manual trans and V6.

Thanks Nate!! I really had expected a major loss of power - but nothing noticable so I am super excited!

Bob - no body lift yet - I ordered a 1" BL from 4Crawler yesterday and it shipped today. I went up to the first bolt hole for the plastic inner fender well but I didn't pound the entire thing flat, but I'm going to do that tonite and see what happens. I was really hoping to get out and test these out this weekend but I think I'll just be patient and wait for next weekends Butcher Jones Clean up to break them in.

Awesome! Hammers can be very persuasive. Are you still going to do the body lift for extra clearance?

I am still gonna do the BL, its only 1" anyway. I put the jack under the tire and jacked it up, turned the wheel and it rubs and little. The BL should be here on Tuesday. That might be the perfect oppurtunity to install the OME t-bars too.

I added the 4crawler 1" body lift and it was a piece of cake to install...about 1.5 hours solo. I used the hi-lift to lift the body. Just do one side at a time as instructed.

Your t-case shifters may contact the shifter bezel though even with only a 1" lift. Good luck with the install.

Looks like I need to break out the BFH for some fender weld influencing

Jeff,
The truck is looking great! We need to organize a wrenching day. I've got stuff to do as well that I keep procrastinating about. Kind of tied up for the next couple of weeks but let me know if you want a hand. If I'm free I'd be happy to throw in.

Thanks Mike! I think a wrenching day is definately in order. I have a few pending projects besides the BL: new steering gear box, OME t-bars, I'd like to replace the gear oil in the trans, bleed the clutch.

Nic and I did a 2" BL on his 86 4Runner a few weeks ago, took us about 45 min or so. I just have to remember to check the transfer case shifter to make sure I can still get into 4wd - he had to come back and trim it up a bit for it to stay in 4wd.

I did Lower Ajax yesterday with a couple of buddies and thought I'd share a few pics. Probably going to be my last real run of the season, it's just getting too hot and I need to start cleaning the rig up to sell it anyway.

The navigators... we tend to get lost alot!
