Replaced the idler arm last night and had a few noises (read clank bang)) magically disappear...oh and the steering a bit more precise.

I should be getting those goodies for you today, reminded him yesterday so I'll keep my fingers crossed us.

maybe me and another guy with an 09 taco. what time you guys meeting at the gate? not sure wich one of the twins im drivin just yet, i only have street tires on one and some almost bald bfgs on the other

 

we are going to meet up at the Baja/Chevron gas station at 10am, depending on how timely everyone is, we should be at the gate around 10:30iish.

hey guys so guess what? got home last night to do an oil change, fuel filter and throw a speedy sleve on my harmonic balencer (had a little leak at the oil pump) started it up and started hearing a little knalk a deep one, i couldnt here it in the cab over the headers and such. Took my stethascope(spelling?) listened around finally found the noise coming from what sounds like cyl#3 connecting rod. i sat there and listened to it for atleast 15min before i shut it off. damn im bumbed out had to catch a ride to work today. So looks like ill be off the trail for a while, im trying to hunt down a 3rz and do a swap i got $1500 right now it was gonna be lift kit $$ but guess ˟˟˟˟ happens. Anyone have experiance with this swap?? ill probably need all the help i can get!! Sorry about blowing off the yota tech crew again

hey 808 i saw a couple wrecked 3rd gens on CL this morn its the 3.4 but a good swap for 1500

 

be on the lookout for u guys might just go out to the gate. not staying out long, just gonna test out the tires, hit the 1st cove. but i cant stay out all day cuz i didnt get enough accomplished yesterday and have to get it done today
