35x12.50 MTRs on 15x8 Champion beadlocks:

They run pretty smooth unbalanced, got it up to about 60. Also installed a remote tire pressure monitor (http://www.smartire.com/), lets me monitor tire pressure and temperature while driving.

Those are my off-road wheels and tires, the 33s are just for the road. With the new tread, the MTRs are about 3" taller than the old 33s. Can really feel the difference climbing in the truck!
Used the plainest beadlocks that Champion makes and then gave them a "street lock" makeover. Replaced all the hex head cap screws with button head allens, both on the lock ring and inside:

Hopefully that'll make them look less like "real" beadlocks if I ever get pulled over.

They should clear the front fenders fine, in pack, I still need to trim the fenders (black line is where they will be getting trimmed to):

Then some rubber fender flares to keep them covered and it should be ready for the trail.

Aftermarket tube grill to replace the stock one that was ready to fall off. Sure is a heck of a lot stronger than the stock one and it is super easy to install and remove w/ 4 nuts.

Nope, my old Centramatic wheel balancers are doing that job:

Played around with tire pressures today, looks like ~20 psi is a decent street pressure, will need to double check that with the pressure/temperature rise tests on a longer drive at speed: http://www.4crawler.com/Diesel/Tires...roperInflation
Found the tire's "sand pressure" is about 2.5 psi, about the same as my old Swampers. Looks like 8-10 psi should work well for general off-road use.

Don't recall the mfg., but I got it from http://clickserve.cc-dt.com/link/cli...732]JC Whitney a few years ago. They used to have something like a matte black finish, but when I ordered it, only the chrome was available. My stock grill was falling apart, and this grill is very stout. It is listed to fit only pickups, I had to move 2 brackets to get it to fit my 4Runner, but now it mounts with 4 nuts on some studs I installed in the front core support.
Checked out the tire clearance the other morning:

Looks like the rear fender trimming will be needed:

Lots of room up front:

Actually bought them a while ago, seemed to be the best setup for the terrain I run. I used to run bias ply Swampers, great tires off road but horrible on pavement. So I wanted a decent 35" radial and the MTRs seemed to be working well for others. I don't really notice much difference in acceleration between the 33x10.50s and the 35x12.50s (w/ 4.88 gears), so that is a good thing.

Nice roger. My buddy runs 37x12.50 r17 MTR's on his 78 CJ7 with narrowed D60's w/4.88 and they are only like 1.5-2" taller than my 35x12.50 BFG's.
Anyways he likes his MTR's he said he had no issues running them in the mud too. He said on his last offroad run in NH some people that were running Swamper Truxus MT radials were having issues getting stuck and he had ran the same mud track unlocked and had no problem whatsoever with his MTR's

I would invest in rock domes.
I have them on my OMF's and can still get a socket on all the bolts for tightening. Without them, the rings and the bolts would be beat to hell, they take the beating instead.
Looks good though. MT/R's are my favorites by far.

Did you order those directly from OMF? I didn't find them listed at any of their dealers. What is the base of the dome like? Is it flat or is there a raised center section? The rings I have are slightly recessed. I think if my bolts get too based up, I'll be chamfering the holes in the lock ring and use flat head allens recessed in there.

I got mine straight from OMF.
They are built to fit the recesses in the rings perfectly, so they center and protect both the bolt head and the ring.
I thought about using the allen key heads like this, but when the rings get near rocks at all, they get hammered.
