Opinions of Viair Compressor models, or other compressors

So my 20 dollar harbor freight compressor that I hard mounted in my engine compartment finally gave out. Had the little guy for about 5 years, had a hard life. Lol

So I am looking for a replacement. Compact so I can still hard mount by my battery. I have a ten gallon air tank Im mounting next to my tool box under where the factory spare tire should be. I'm going to be making my own OBA setup. Pressure switch to keep the tank full. Hopefully take some load off the compressor. I am still researching on the best way to make this set up, so i'd love any advice.

But what compressors have you guys used and liked? My old compressor took like an hour to air up mine and my one other buddies rig. Definitely would like something more powerful.

Oh, also I prefer 1/4 npt outlets/ I converted my old compressor from 1/8th to 1/4 so I can use a regular old shop hose and the chucks we use in our auto/fab shop. Is it worth the money to just buy their on board air systems? Or just get the compressor, use my tank and lines and set it up myself?

Heavy Duty 150PSI Portable Air Compressor 12V High Volume Extreme 35" Tires | eBay

It basically looks like a generic Super Flow MV-90
it sucks a done of juice but is fast

Filled the empty 35x12.50 from 0 to 30 psi in a little over 2 minutes
So far l like it...I thought about OBA, but having a portable system is,nice. Duty cycle is about 60%

Red face

Figure out just what your air needs are.

Figure out if the cost for that much compressor is within budget.

One has to look at the cost of on board air kits and quality!!

Much cheaper to buy hose in 250' rolls and fittings in quantities so they can sometimes be a good deal buying a kit.
