Hey all, I am going to run 33X12.5's on 15x8 3.75" BS Marlin Crawler Beadlock wheels, and am wondering which way I should go with the lift and what will be enough?

Option #1:
1.5" BJ spacers, fender trimming, slight T-bar crank. Will this clear?

Option #2:
1" BJ spacers, 1" BL, fender trimming, slight T-bar crank. Will this clear?

Option #3:
1.5" BJ spacers, 1" BL, fender trimming, slight T-bar crank. I know this should clear.

As you have probably noticed, I am trying to run these tires with as little lift as possible. So if you have any other ideas, combinations of parts, etc... Post them up!

do #1 and drop down to 32x11.50...just a thought. I've never been a proponent of body lifts.

 

Option #2 and #3 are the same.
If you wheel at all, then go with #2/#3 and don't settle for 32's. With the correct back spacing you dont need any of those options for normal daily driving. My 33's fit with no lift.

my friend has no lift on his 88 pick up and is running 15x10's with 32x11.50's with only his mud flaps removed. so really anything more will def clear.

 

One option is to do this in stages. Do the suspension lift and see how things fit. If needed, some minor fender trimming may be needed. If that does not help, measure for a body lift and put that on. If you had a 4.5"-4.75" backspaced wheel (like stock), it would be easier to fit that size tire:

A wider wheel/tire combo swings a wider arc up front when steering. If that wider arc intercepts the arch of the wheel well, you get tire rubbing. Just guessing, but I would think you'll need the 1.5" ball joint spacer and the 1" body lift at a minimum.

 

Well to all of you who suggested 33's...I am already running those, with running boards. Yes I modded the boards a bit but they fit like a glove now.

I am wanting to take the next step to 33's. Option #2 an #3 are very close but a .5" difference. I had read somewhere that Adrian though some of his steering problems were caused by the 1.5" BJ spacers and that shorter ones wouldnt make it quite as bad?

The lift you end up with from the ball joint spacers is whatever you set the torsion bar height to. I have done a few of the lower height spacers for folks who wanted them for various reasons. If you put 1" spacers on and cranked the t-bars up 1/2" you would get the same ride height as the 1.5" spacers with no torsion bar adjustment.

 

I wheel alot....and I've got 31s, the only thing that would make much difference is that the 33s are an inch wider....but I think 32's are a more ideal size for an on/off road vehicle.
