I'll take the old one off your hands. . . But that'll have to include the wiring harness. . .

i wouldnt have a problem with that except for the fact that im going to rebuild it... then swap back over... idk why, but i have a thing about making sure that all the numbers match on a vehicle...
heck, i have a 400 HP 356lb-ft. small block 400 sitting in my garage that i could drop in, but that belongs to my 78 GMC...

Makes sense. And it ensures you have a good strong motor in it, with a backup waiting in the garage, just in case. . .

ok... not much progress at all... got the location of the scangauge decided and temporarily mounted... also got a set of walmart fog light from a buddy for free taht im going to mount somewhere... dunno yet... but the main thing im working towards is saving half my paycheck to go to bills or a new motor... as of right now, a month of saving, i have 450 dollars ready to go... just another 800 left... i figure by early september i should be able to get the new motor...

also might be trading a guy my 31x10.5 bfg a/ts on stock rims for 32x11.5 duellers on some aftermarket aluminum rims... plus gotta get the CB antenna installed and the cb mounted... plus install the WINK rally mirror... its all the little crap thats building up...

Another "oh noes!" project today...

got bored and painted the rims today becuse i was sick of the stained, pitted and rashed stock wheels... plus these rims are my least favorite design toyota ever produced...

anyways, i used Valspar spray paint from Lowes in the Satin Purple variety. didnt have much hope for it, but it actually laid out VERY nicely... i ws impressed... great even coating, and dried quickly...

these are the only pics that i got today... the purple pops more in the sunlight...

tomorrow my friend is coming over and im gonna wire up the fog lights, get the CB antenna mounted, and get the Mirror installed...

SIDENOTE: only got another 400 bucks to go before i can get my replacement motor...
but, shes started overheating... used to run on the freeway @ 181*, but now its running @ 190-193* and 197 @ idle... im just hoping itll last another 6 weeks...

id like to see you try!

Got the CB antenna hooked up today... oh my, its long...
Its an Everhardt Tiger full wavelength fiberglass...

all in all it was pretty easy... i mounted it on my tool box so i can get the best reception... it does pull the tool box a minimal amount, but i am planning on getting some 1/8" plate to reinforce the corner section...

tools used...

hardware is 4 M6x24mm bolt, 4 split ring washers, 4 wide washers and 8 nuts...

all done...

the last pic is just a piece of rope holding down the antenna, but i have a buddy in the army who said hes gonna get me an antenna tie down off a hummer in their bone yard...

little update... only 1.5 paychecks away from getting the replacement motor... then this one is goin into the shop for a rebuild... well, actually, me and a friend will be doing the work with his dads race connections doing the machine work including PnP and a valve job... figured id start piecing together the parts and heres the list of things im gonna get... its not TOO much, but my goal is to be hitting 225HP with minimal mods...

(all these parts are from LCE. Any advice or suggestions are more than welcome!)

Master Rebuild Kit - 3RZ Street (95-04) - 599.95

2RZ/3RZ Pro Series 2 Camshaft Set - 599.95

2RZ/3RZ Adjustable Intake Camshaft Gear (95-04) - 119.95

Pro Head Stud Set - 2RZ/3RZ - 114.95

3RZ Street Header Kit - 4WD/2WD PreRunner (95-04) - 368.95

so the total projected price right now is ~$1800... thats roughly $24 per HP gained...

any advice?
